Foodie Fun: Amusement Parks & Attractions for Families

Whimsical Willy Wonka World

If your kids can’t get enough of sweets, Whimsical Willy Wonka World is the perfect destination. Inspired by the classic tale, this park features chocolate rivers and candy cane trees as far as the eye can see. Parents will appreciate the educational tours explaining the chocolate-making process—sneaking in lessons while having fun! And, there’s a candy crafting station where you can create your confectionary masterpiece. The park also hosts ‘Golden Ticket’ scavenger hunts, engaging the entire family in the adventure. Don’t miss the life-sized chocolate sculptures—definitely Instagram-worthy! When we visited last summer, our kids couldn’t stop talking about the giant gummy bear slide. A truly sweet experience!

Shrek’s Swampy Snackland

Ever wondered what’s for dinner in Shrek’s world? Shrek’s Swampy Snackland turns that curiosity into reality! Here, you can feast on ‘swamp-themed’ foods, like green pudding and ogre-sized turkey legs. The immersive environment, complete with mudslide rides, offers both thrills and laughs. You’ll also find onion ring tossing games, another fun way to burn off that extra energy. My personal favorite is Donkey’s Karaoke Cafe, where you can belt out your favorite hits while munching on fairy-tale treats. The park does a great job covering dietary needs as well, making it a perfect outing for the whole family.

Peppa Pig’s Picnic Paradise is your go-to for a day of outdoor family fun. This theme park revolves around family picnics, complete with picnic-themed rides and attractions. Take a relaxing pedal boat ride on the ‘Duck Pond’ or enjoy the ‘Picnic Basket Carousel.’ For those with younger kids, there are story sessions under the ‘Story Tree,’ where Peppa Pig herself makes guest appearances. The park provides pre-packed picnic baskets with a variety of food options. We found it a perfect way to unwind and enjoy quality time. There’s even a play area designed to look like Peppa’s backyard, offering hours of safe, imaginative play for the kids.
